'''Philippe Samyn''' ha cominciato i suoi studi a [[Gent]], la sua città natale, prima di trasferirsi a Bruxelles con la sua famiglia. Sin dalla più giovane età il suo interesse si è rivolto all'architettura, alle scienze e alle tecnologie.
Laureato in ingegneria civile presso l'Università libera di Bruxelles (ULB) nel 1971, un Master of Sciences in Ingegneria civile conseguito al [[Massachusetts Institute of Technology]] (MIT) nel 1973,Laureato in urbanistica presso l'ULB nel 1973, consegue il post-dottorato in gestione della Solvay Business School conseguito nel 1985. Nel 1985 si laurea architetto e diviene dottore in Scienze applicate all'Università di Liegi nel 1999.
Philippe Samyn fa parte del Consiglio dell'Ordine di Léopold ed è membro Dell'Académie royale des sciences, des lettres et des beaux-arts de Belgique, é stato investito del titolo di cavaliere da sua maestuà il Re Alberto II il 13 luglio 2012

Il gruppo realizza progetti integrati, dal paesaggio all'arredo interno, in cui è compresa anche la progettazione degli impianti. Lo studio è situato nel quartiere di ‘Prince d’orange’, nella zona sud di [[Brussels]] e attualmente conta una cinquantina di collaboratori.
