Nel 1968 si è laureata in filosofia e pedagogia all'Università Alma Mater di Bologna. Nel 1988 ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca all'[[Università di Georgetown]] a  [[Washington DC]].
Nel 2008 ha conseguito come poetessa il Premio internazionale per l'aforisma "Torino in sintesi".
