Un cimitero e uno stabilimento trovati sulla penisola di Kefala fra Otzias ed Agios Nikolaos datato intorno a 3300 a.c. è il primo esempio della sepoltura sistematica nell'intero Egeo. Un altro stabilimento a Agia Irini data al terzo millennio e fiorì per 1500 anni.
