ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆಯುವಾಗ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಶಿನ ಅಕ್ಷರಗಳನ್ನು ಇನಿಶಿಯಲ್ ಆಗಿ ಬಳಸುವ ರೂಢಿ ಇದೆ. ಉದಾಹರಣಗೆ ಯು. ಆರ‍್. ಅನಂತಮೂರ್ತಿ, ಕೆ. ಪಿ. ರಾವ್, ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ. ಈ ರೀತಿ ಬಳಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸಂದಿಗ್ಧ ಮೂಡಿಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇನಿಶಿಯಲ್ ಆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಚುಕ್ಕಿ ಇಡಬೇಕೇ ಬೇಡವೇ, ಚುಕ್ಕಿ ಆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸ್ಪೇಸ್ ಬಿಡಬೇಕೇ ಬೇಡವೇ, ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ. ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗೆ ಕೆ. ಪಿ. ರಾವ್. ಇದನ್ನು ಕೆ.ಪಿ.ರಾವ್, ಕೆ.ಪಿ. ರಾವ್, ಕೆ ಪಿ ರಾವ್ ಎಂದು ಹಲವು ವಿಧಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಬಹುದು. ಈ ರೀತಿ ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ವಿಧಾನಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯುವುದರಿಂದ ಅದು ವಿಕಿಯ ಪುಟದ ಹೆಸರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವು ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಪುಟಗಳಾಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಈ ರೀತಿ ಆಗಬಾರದು ಎಂದಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಒಂದು ಏಕಸೂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
