The '''2016 Malaysia Cup''' ([[Malay language|Malay]]: ''Piala Malaysia 2016'') is the 90th edition of [[Malaysia Cup]] tournament organised by [[Football Association ofPiala Malaysia 2016 merupakan kejohanan edisi Piala Malaysia ke 90 diuruskan oleh [[Persatuan Bola Sepak Malaysia]] (FAM) dand [[Football Malaysia LLP]].

The 2016 Malaysia Cup began on August with a preliminary round. A total of 16 teams took part in this prestigious competition. The teams are divided into 4 groups of 4. The group leaders and runners-up teams in the groups after 6 matches qualify to the quarterfinals. Nike has a new match ball, the Ordem Malaysia Cup.

[[Selangor FA|Selangor]] are the defending champions, having beaten 2008 champions [[Kedah FA|Kedah]], 2–0 in last season's final.
