A few years ago I found this term that is said to be used by medicine men to mean HIV: asdzáá algaanii bideezlaʼ baʼálííl ajił. :::OK, scratch part of that, it took some thinking: there is indeed a verb, ''ninishníísh'', "to stop working on it (now)". For more than 2 people who stop working on something (right now) that becomes ''ndeíníísh''. Since it's not specified what the work is, you take out the object and put in [ʼ]. The [ʼ] is the empty slot where the object is missing, similar to ''ndaʼałkaahí'' (those who research [ʼ]) vs. ''ndeiłkaahí'' (those who research it). Navajo needs to mark the slot even if it's empty.
