Mernuts is one of the band formed in Tarlac on year 2007. The Band was started by Jhaye Cura and Michelle (Chao) Chua through their translated versions of modern pop music. As time flies and while their music grows they added 3 fire powers on their music by putting Jay Salazar on Drums, Jhun Catacutan on Guitars and Paeng Sabado on Bass which is the 1st line up of the band during the old time of Raw War Tarlac Battle of the bands. By the use of the words "Good Chemistry" the band introduces modern Capampangan pop to the mainstream era of Tarlac, the band also covers music that vary on their taste. As the years goes by the band created their original song "Oras" and "Aliwa Kang Talaga" which is also introduced in Rockapampangan Album of Holy Angel University the band started performing in various places in the region. The band also invades the world of youtube which is one of the key for them to be known and appreciated by Tarlaquenos and other close provinces. But behind the name Mernuts as mentioned it is a socially pronounced word of "marinat" means dirty or an act of doing dirty stuff. Choosing a band name is one of the hardest part of being a music group but the name Mernuts was the chosen one to be the tag name of the group. In additional during rockapampangan times the band added a twist of strings and keys which is their Keyboards player who lasted for a short period of time. Bands may encounter some conflicts either studies, personal choices or personal reasons that came up during 2010 when the original bassist left the group that came Marvin Camaya a Pampanga based musician who's residing in Tarlac for work purposes, Jhaye Cura met Marvin on one of the acoustic jams in Tarlac and invites him to join their band. When a musician smells the good taste of music there is no way of saying no and they reformed the group by switching Jhun on handling the bass parts and Marvin on Lead Guitars. The band didn't waste more time or either struggling to adjust with one another since they play the same music genre they even played in a gig without any rehearsals or advance meet ups, they just used the true spirit of music. As times go by the band was looking for different kicks and twist that they can add on their music to satisfy them and the listeners. Another thing which is unique with the group? They put God at the center of their lives.
