'''هارولډ پينټر''' په 10 د اکتوبر 1930 کال کې د لندن ښار په هاکنې (hackney) نومې ولسوالۍ کې د يوه يهودي درزي په کور کې زېږېدلی دی. د آبلوڅېدو سره سم د يهوديت ضدو څرګگندونو سره مخامخ شو او د يوه ډرامه ليکونکي په توګگه يې د هغه ناندريز دور ارزښت ډېر ښه ښکاره کړی دی. 
د دوهمې نړېوالې جګگړې په پېل کې، د نهه کلنۍ په عمر کې د ژوندي پاتې کېدو په موخه له لندن نه دباندې ولېږدول شو او بيا په دولس کلنۍ کې بېرته لندن ته راستون شو.
هغه وييلي چې د جګگړې د بمبارېو پر مهال د تجربو نقش يې هېڅ کله د ماغزو څخه نه دی ليرې شوی.

پېنټر هماغسې نندارتون په يوې پوښلې فضا او نه اټکلېدونکو ډيالوکونو، خپل بنسټيزو توکو پورې نغښتی وساته، په کوم ځای کې چې خلک يو بل ته زړه سواندي دي او ځان ستاينه پکې ټوټه ټوټه کېدونکې ده. دده په کارونو کې په يوې ډېرې لنډې خاکې، ډرامه د قدرتمنو هڅو او د ليدونکي سره د پټ پټاني مذاکرې وروسته رابرسېره کېږي. په لومړيو وختونو کې د پينټر ډرامې د يوه چټي تياتر، بدلو څېرو په توګگه بريښېده، خو بيا وروسته په وړډول د ”ډار کوميډيو” په ټولګگيوکې ووېشل شو.

د ۱۹۷۳ ز کال نه راپدېخوا پينټر د خپلو ليکنو ترڅنګگ د بشري حقوقو د جنګگيالي په توګگه نوم اېستلی دی. هغه ډېر ځل د داسو ستونزو په مخ کې درېدلی دی کوم چې خلکو د ناندريزښکاري. پينټر د راډيو لپاره هم ډېرې نندارمې ليکلي او ددې تر څنګگ يې د ټليويزيون او فلمونو لپاره نندارمې کښلي. د هغه په نامتو نندارمو کې د the servant (مزدور) نندارمه چې په ۱۹۶۳ ز کال کې جوړه شوه، د (the Accident) د (پېښه)، چې په ۱۹۶۷ ز کال کې، د (the go between) په مېنځ کې تګگ نندارمه چې په ۱۹۷۱ کې، او د فرانسوي افسر ښځه (the french lieutenant’s woman) نندارمه چې په ۱۹۸۱ ز کال کې کښل شوې ډېرې مشهورې نندارمې دي، دا وروستۍ د جان فاولز د داستان پر بنسټ جوړه شوې. پينټرد لارښودګگر په توګگه منډ ماتوونکې ونډه لرلې.
