Although she is without a major label deal, she has already been featured on [[NPR]] and by national American publications like ''[[Blender Magazine]]'', ''[[URB]]'', "[[XLR8R]]", "[[Dazed & Confused]]" and the ''[[Los Angeles Times]]''. Her music has also been used in the Television program "Numbers", in the games "[[Need_for_Speed:_Carbon#Soundtrack|Need For Speed]]" and "[[FIFA_07#Game_Soundtrack|Fifa 2007]]" and in commercials for the mobile ring-tone service Mobizzo. Tigarah ficou familiarizada com o  [[funk carioca]], uma versão brasileira do [[Miami Bass]], pelos colegas brasileiros, quando ela assistiu Keio University. A ciência política foi tão grande cativou pela música que ela viajou para São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro para aprender mais sobre a música e uma imersão na cultura veio.  Durante a sua estada no Rio de Janeiro, ela encontrou o Sr. . D, um suíço-alemão DJ / produtor que divide seu tempo entre Los Angeles e ali. Em 2003, os dois decidiram formar um duo, tendo os mesmos gostos e interesses musicais, realizando sob o nome Tigarah.&nbsp;Em 2006 ela foi a primeira japonesa a firmar contrato internacional com a Universal. 

Embora sem um grande negócio para o rótulo de um longo tempo, Tigarah tem sido apresentado na NPR e por publicações como o nacional-americana Blender Magazine, URB, "XLR8R", "Dazed & Confused" eo Los Angeles Times. Sua música tem sido também utilizado em programas de televisão Numb3rs e The L Word, nos jogos Need for Speed: Carbon, FIFA 07 e mais recentemente no FIFA 08.
