'''[[Foreign Languages]] Department.''' — The Foreign Languages department is employs over 100 teachers; there are 9 doctors and 40 candidates of science. The Department has all conditions for effective academic and educational activities of students. The department is an associate member of the [[Union of Translators of Russia]]. The department carries out international co-operation with Universities in many countries (USA, UK, Ireland, Germany, France, etc.) and participates in international educational programs,[[TEMPUS]], "[[Fulbright Program]]", "[[American Council of Teachers of Russian]] / [[ACCELS]]", "[[DAAD]]" and also in various seminars, conferences, symposia, exhibitions, both in Russia and abroad.

 ==History==
The Foreign Languages Department was organized at Moryodovian State Teacher Training College in 1952. From 1957 to 1969 the Department had three majors in languages (English, German and French) and was a part of History and Philological Department. Head of English Philology Chair was P.Rabinovich (1953). In 1955 Candidate of Philological science S. Shason were elected on this post. From 1958 to 1968 the Department was headed by Candidate of Philological Sciences lecturer F. Markov.  The Head of the chair of German Philology was occupied by O. Kharlamov. The Chair of French Philology was established in the Foreign Languages Department in 1962. The Head of the Chair was F. Markov. By the decision of an academic council from January, 30th, 2001 the Department exists independently again. It was recreated for the purpose of more effective purposeful preparation of experts in the conditions of a market economy.
For today the dean of the foreign languages department is Dr. N. Burenina. The Faculty adheres to the tradition of classical education response to the spirits of the times, new requirements of economy, faculty on the former. The Faculty, as before, is heading to philology, as a universal specialty, that could give to the student a comprehensive view of language, designed to give a broad philological erudition for graduates. However, the Faculty has to decide new problems of language training students in the field of higher education.

 ==Chairs==
Nowadays department of foreign languages consists of three chairs. Conduct active work on perfection of educational process and take active part in familiarizing of students to training.
*Chair of English Philology 
*Chair of German Philology 
*Chair of Romance Philology 
*Chair of Theory of speech and the translation
*Chair of English
*Chair of Foreign Languages for the humanities
*Chair of Foreign Languages for the natural sciences and engineering


  ==Student’s Body==
 
Students’ Body consists of 7 sectors (public cultural, socio-economic, 
scientific, educational, informational and analytical, sports and ornamental). 
This sectors controls extra-curricular activities of the department. Each sector has its own Head. The Students’ Body has only active and smart students, who are willing to work for the Department.
 
*Public cultural sector. This sector organizes a student’s recreation. The main task of this sector is to find talent and helping them in self-actualization.

*Socio-economic sector. This sector is engaged in social work, which is primarily to inform students about social actions and projects (act of charity, donations, projects to improve the university).

*Educational Sector. This activities of the sector connects with Dean and Heads of the Chairs for improving educational process.
 
*Information-analytical sector. This sector is engages in design of the site FLD and faculty publication of newspapers, the publication of students works.

*Scientific sector. This sector analyzes and coordinates research activities at the faculty;  and try to improve the research activities of the faculty.
 
*Sport sector. Sport sector is engages by the organization and holding of sports events on the faculty and the university level.

*The ornamental sector. The sector is responsible for the decoration FLD. The head engages in design activities, production of posters, training stands.
