'''Reformacija''' je vjerski i društveni pokret koji je nastao u [[Evropa|Evropi]] tijekom 16. stoljeća. Bio je to pokušaj unošenja duhovnih i strukturalnih promjena u [[Katolička crkva|Crkvu]] što je dovelo do uspostave reformiranog kršćanstva, odnosno [[Protestantizam|protestantizma]].

Društvo i Crkva su jedinstvene cjeline a država ne smije kontrolirati Crkvu, Krist je uspostavio dva sakramenta (krštenje i Večeru Gospodnju), a vjerska disciplina i crkveno vodstvo zajednice trebaju biti usmjeravani od prezbitera (staratelja ili starješina), edukacija je sastavni i važan dio crkvenog života, a predestinacija temelj spasenja i vječne utjehe''.
