The Whalers are now known as the [[Carolina Hurricanes]]. 

The [[Hartford Dark Blues]] joined the [[Major League Baseball]] for one season in 1876. They became the state's only major league baseball team. In 1926, Hartford had a team in the [[National Football League]] known as the [[Hartford Blues]]. The [[Connecticut Sun]] of the [[WNBA]], currently play at the [[Mohegan Sun Arena]] in [[Uncasville, Connecticut]].
