Seoul Fringe Festival
The '''Seoul Fringe Festival''' is performing arts festival which is annually held in [[Seoul]], [[South Korea]]. It excludes an evaluation but opens an opportunity to participate for every artists and make them be possible to try whatever they want. It leads an affluent cultural arts with various artists working in different fields. The [[Independent Art Festival]] which was hosted in 1988 with the motto of "The test and seeking of Korean fringe" changed the name to the Seoul Fringe Festival in 2002 while being expanded as international event and involving various performance groups from Asian countries. The 15th Seoul Fringe Festival was hosted on August 15 to September 1, 2012 at [[Hongdae]] area. The Seoul Fringe Fe(contracted; show full)s suggested an alternative of art and culture, encouraged all artists with democratic participation, discovered rising artists of the next generation, given a boost to arts and lives with value of independent arts, and become more ecological and eco-friendly festival. It was held on August 15 to September 1, 2012 at [[Hongdae]] area and a few more downtown [[Seoul]] with 160,000 visitors.
