17 weight classes are way2many. It is nothin but a scheme to make money,its a boxing shame. Difference between each class is only couple of kilos. Nobody knows who the real champ is in boxing,there r 100 of them n each claims he is the best.
If a bout is scored 113-112  113-113  112-113,one point should not make difference, its2close2call n bout should b a  draw. Its unfair n too close to call that a win!!!
During n b4 marciano-patterson era there were 8 categories n everyone was happy with that thus i propose ten weight categories maximum, just like in olympix. I d add super middleweight n cruiserweight2original 8 categories. No wonder MMA is takin over boxing. Justly so!!! 
I also propose mandatory headbands to avoid NCs or technical draws. Fans r not payin big money to see bouts end prematurely cuz of cuts!!!
There should be one governing body that controls all of boxing n who organizes fights for lineal,true championships. Only such championships count as legit!!!
