'''Soundcheck''' is an American alternative rock band based in Chicago, Illinois and Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band formed in late 2010 with guitarist Gabe Mushel, singer River Stumpf, bassist Tyler Jacobs, and former members Michael Johnston and Jake Swenson and in which were replaced by drummer Luke Holland and guitarist Damien Johns. The band 
was initially popularizedrose to fame due to it's Billboard Hot 100 top 10 single "Bulletproof Love" and being a finalist on the Billboard Battle of the Bands competition in 2011. Founded by Fall Out Boy front  man Patrick Stump, the band signed to Fearless RecordsUniversal Republic and released their debut self-titled EP, ''Soundcheck EP'' on November 15, 2011 charting at number eighteen18 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. The band's debut full-length studio album ''Draw My Thoughts'' was released through Epic Records on September 18, 2012 and peaked at number-six 6 on the Billboard 200. Overall, the band has opened for bands such as Crown the Empire, The Used, We Came as Romans, Mindflow, Fall Out Boy, and Paramore and have participated on the Van's Warped Tour in 2013. In 2013, the band released two albums titled ''Draw My Thoughts Acoustic'' and ''Live in Brisbane''. On October 1, 2013, the band released a promotional single "A Love Like War" withfeaturing All Time Low members Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat. On February 19, 2014, it was announced that Jake Swenson willould be leaving the band due to personal and family issues. It and was confirmlater revealed that Luke Holland would be replacing Swenson on the drums and taking percussion duties on the band's second studio album as well as taking part in future touring plans. On February 20, the band uploaded a YouTube video welcoming Holland to the band. On February 24, 2014, the band released a song called "Kissing in Cars" from the soundtrack of the film ''Endless Love''. Whilst recording their second studio album, the band released a re-issue ofd their debut album, ''Draw My Thoughts: The Reboot'' on June 3, 2014. 

In 2015, the band headlined the 2015 Kerrang! Tour throughout February with We Are the In Crowd, Don Broco, Bury Tomorrow, and Beartooth. The band embarked on the North American leg of their Life After All World Tour with Sleeping With Sirens and supporting acts As It Is and Slaves which began on March 6 and concluded on June 2, 2015. On April 8, 2015, the band announced their sophomore studio album ''No More Kings'' set to be released on July 7, 2015 on Epic Records and Sony Entertainment worldwide. It's lead single is set to be released on May 4, 2015.

In sales, the band has sold over 2 millions album and single units worldwide, according to Billboard and Neilson SoundScan.

===Background===

Following extensive touring in support of the band's debut album, ''Draw My Thoughts'' (2012), the band began writing for their second album throughout the summer of 2013 on the Van's Warped Tour. The band began recording and production for the album in February 2014 with producer Cameron Mizell at Chango Studios in Orlando, Florida. Initially, the band recorded 10 songs with Mizell and planned on releasing their second album sometime in the fall of 2014. However, plans changed after the band toured as supporting acts on the Monumentour with Fall Out Boy and Paramore and the album was pushed back to a possible late 2014 release. In September and October 2014, it was reported that the band began recording more material for their second album in Glendale, Arizona, but this time around, with producers Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Paramore, Young the Giant, The Reveonattes) and David Bendeth (Papa Roach, Killswitch Engage, Underoath). The band finished recording for the album in early October and confirmed that the album was set to be released sometime in early 2015. In December 2014, it was confirmed that the album's title would be ''Life After All'' and would be released in March of 2015 on Epic Records. After announcing their Life After All North American Tour in early January, the band revealed that the album would be released in the summer of 2015. 

In support of ''Life After All'', the band embarked on the Life After All North American Tour in March and concluded in June 2015 with Sleeping With Sirens, As it Is, and Slaves. It was announced on April 6, 2015, that the band would be performing on the main stage at the 2015 Van's Warped Tour. In September 2015, the band is set to embark on the European leg of their Life After All World Tour with supporting act Dance Gavin Dance.
