Born in [[Aweil]], [[South Sudan]] to the family of Sylvester. Soj began pursuing a career as a singer when he was seventeen years old. After signing with [[Aweil]]'s recording studio, he released his debut single "[[Nyan|Burkina Faso]]" in 2014. The single went on to become a commercial success, entering all states of [[South Sudan]]. The ''[[Aweilian Dance]]'' [[Gasira Dance]] he did performe. His debut studio album, ''[[Talastation]]'' (2015), failed to see the success of its lead single. The album's third single, "[[Raan Ci Omaan]]", became a beloved, and reached number one on the Gasira Play chart.

In the same year Soj formed the musician group called Aweilian Boys Collaboration (ABC), Soj continued to record both collaborations and soundtrack singles. Soj later began working on his second studio album, ''[[Neglected Children]]'' (2015), which received a limited release through [[Universal Music|Universal Music Uganda]]. The album become known in the countries of [[Uganda]],  [[Kenya]], [[Burundi]] and [[Tanzania]]. Soj featuring [[Chagga]], [[Wal Wal]], and Young Hip Pop respectively. In the year of 2014, Soj decided to visit night clubs and won "Best Gospel Artist" at the Gasira awards. In the same year of 2014, he won "Best R&B Artist" and "Best Urban Artist" at the Aweil Awards. Soj's single, "No For War", won the award for "Gasira Dance Club Play Track Of The Year" in the 2015 Aweilian Billboard Music Awards. he also won an Aweil East County Award in 2015 for "Best County Artist".

==Early life==
Soj was born in [[Aweil]], [[South Sudan]] to Aweilian parents. At a young age, Soj and his family moved to the [[Aweil East County]]. When he was 15, Soj performed onstage and was heard by his father who commended him vocals. Friends and family recognized his talent at an early age, but it was not until he moved to [[Aweil]] aged 14, to [[Wau]], that Soj realized his potential as a singer. he attended Aweil Catholic Church Music, and was taught by clergyman. Soj then attended the Aweilian arts High School, which was the only school he applied to.
