Soj began pursuing a career as a singer when he was seventeen years old. After signing with [[Aweil]]'s recording studio, he released his debut single "[[Nyan]] [[Burkina Faso]]" in 2014. The single went on to become a commercial success, entering all states of [[South Sudan]]. The ''[[Aweilian Dance]]'' [[Gasira Dance]] he did performe.
