The band currently consists of vocalists Rylan Stewart and August Jenks, lead guitarist Jonathon Evans, rhythm guitarist Ethan Meyer, and bass guitarist Kevin Francis. The band signed with Sub Trash Records and released their debut studio album ''In Her Name We Trust'' in 2010, garnering a fan base in the Midwestern United States. In 2011, the band released their sophomore studio album ''It's Only Happiness If It Kills You In the End'' to critical acclaim and charted at number-sixteen on the U.S. Heatseekers Albums chart. In 2012, the band released their third studio album, ''Mantle'', and later departing with Sub Trash and signing with Old Friends Records. In 2013, the band released ''The Young Turks EP'' with new vocalists Rylan Stewart and August Jenks and charted at number 171 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Following the success of the EP, the band signed with Fearless and released their fourth studio album ''Closure'' in February 2014, charting at number 64 on the ''Billboard'' 200, spawning the single "Strawberry Swisher Pt. 3", which achieved success on Alternative and Modern rock radio peaking at number 11 on the Alternative Songs chart. The band toured with bands such as Capture the Crown, A Lot Like Birds, Hands Like Houses, Conditions, Structures, and Deadwood in support of of their previous releases. In 2014, the group departed with bassist Derrick Turner the band recorded their fifth studio album, ''Canvases'', which was released on May 5, 2015 and was proceeded by the singles "On the Run", released on February 9 and "We Own the Night" on March 24, 2015.

In 2015, the band served as a supporting act on the Take Action! Tour with headliners Memphis May Fire, Crown the Empire, and Palisades. From June to August, the band toured on the 2015 Van's Warped Tour. The band performed as a musical guest on the ''Late Show With Stephen Colbert'' and ''Saturday Night Live''.
