'''''Parallels''''' is the upcoming ninth studio album by American rock band The Signs set to be released on March 4, 2016. The album will be the band's first release since parting ways with Island Records and signing to Roadrunner, and since departing with Elijah Phillips. The album was recorded between January and June of 2015 in Los Angeles and Malibu, California. The lead single "Parallels" was released on November 13, 2015.
===Background===
Recording and production for ''Parallels'' took place between January and June of 2015 in undisclosed studios in Malibu and Los Angeles, California. Most of the writing and pre-production for the album took place whilst the band touring on the Forgetting Everything World Tour in late 2014. Despite having told the media that the band would be going on an indefinite hiatus from touring and recording music together, frontman Matt Flynn spoke about a possibly ninth album with Billboard magazine, saying "I think we have enough material to record three albums worth of music. These songs aren't just me this time. We have been contributing as a band should which feels great." The band concluded their Forgetting Everything World Tour in South America in January 2015 and secretly began recording ''Parallels.''
On November 11, 2015, the band announced that they would be releasing their single, titled "Parallels", along with the announcement of their ninth studio album and its details. On November 13, the band announced that ''Parallels'' would be released through Roadrunner Records on March 4, 2016. On November 16, the band announced a 2016 world tour with X Ambassadors and Awolnation.
===Sound===
''Parallels'' is an alternative rock and hard rock album using elements drawn from post-grunge, post-hardcore, experimental rock, pop rock, and pop punk music. According to The Signs' percussionist Brent Gregory, the album is the band's most diverse and richest-sounding album to date. The album's lead single, "Parallels", was critically acclaimed and praised for its melodic uses of hard rock and post-hardcore. The song "Magic", featuring vocals and production alternative rock band X Ambassadors, is a pop-inspired experimental and alternative rock track that differs from the band's signature hard rock sounds.

The band signed a recording contract with Island Records and released their fourth studio album, ''Lucky Strike'', in 2012. Following their extensive world tour, the band went on an indefinite hiatus in June 2013. In August 2014, the band announced their return to music with a performance at Lollapalooza and their single "Maps", which was followed up by the band's fifth studio album, ''V'', released on January 13, 2015 on Interscope Records. In 2015, the band released their single "This Summer's Gonna Hurt" and embarked on their North American This Summer's Gonna Hurt Tour in support of the reissue of ''V''.
Metric has sold more than 65 millions digital and physical singles and albums worldwide becoming known as one of the best-selling music groups of all time. According to Neilson, the band is the only music group to establish scoring 5 or more number-one studio albums since their debut album in North America. In celebration of the ten-year anniversary, the band released ''Story'' on February 6, 2016.

'''''Story''''' is an upcoming compilation album by American band Metric set to be released on February 6, 2016 through Interscope Records. The album was produced by Mark Stent and Stephen Jordan. The promotional single "Story" was released for digital download on November 19, 2015.
===Background===
It was announced by Metric, Interscope Records, and the Universal Music Distribution on November 16, 2015 that the band would be releasing the compilation album ''Story'' on February 6, 2016.
The album was recorded between November 7 and November 15, 2015. The idea behind the album release is to celebrate the band's 10 year anniversary as a group, having it be released on the 10 year anniversary of their commercially success single "Makes Me Wonder", released on February 6, 2006, the lead single off of their self-titled debut studio album. In honor of the anniversary celebration, the album was recorded at Clear Lake Recording Studios in Studio A in Los Angeles, the same location in which their self-titled debut was produced, mixed, and mastered throughout late 2005 and early 2006. Mark "Spike" Stent also executively produced and engineered ''Story'', as he produced and engineered their self-titled debut as well. Mutli-instromentalist Stephen Jordan served a producer and provided additional bass, drums, and percussion during the recording sessions for ''Story'', as he was an influence on the band throughout the recording process of their self-titled debut.
The promotional single, "Story", was released to digital download on November 19, 2015 accompanied with its lyric video. The video is composed of live footage and photographs of Metric touring over the past decade.
===Composition===
''Story'' was released through Interscope Records, Polydor Records, and Universal Music Group worldwide on February 6, 2016 in two editions. The standard album is compiled with seven songs, in which were composed and recording in demo form throughout 2005–2006. The songs were re-recorded with Mark Stent and Stephan Jordan serving as producers and music engineers throughout November 2015 at Clear Lake Recording Studios in Studio A in Los Angeles, California. Lyrics for the songs "Miss You, Love You", "Until You're Over Me", and "Losing My Mind" were reworked for the recording process. The standard album also features an eighth track, an acoustic version of "Makes Me Wonder", which was recorded in November 2015 as well. The bonus edition of ''Story'' is compiled of the seven re-recorded songs, the acoustic version of "Makes Me Wonder", eight demo versions of songs from both the ''Story'' tracks and Metric's self-titled debut studio album, and three songs recorded live at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles in 2007. The Asian version of the bonus edition of ''Story'' includes all listed plus a the remix of "If I Never See Your Face Again", featuring Rihanna (originally recorded in 2007 and released in 2011), and a Questlove remix of the Rihanna version of "If I Never See Your Face Again."

The album was recorded throughout the months of June and July 2014 in Excelsior, Minnesota and was produced and mixed in August and September in Los Angeles, California. The lead single, "Maps", was released on August 4, 2014 and peaked at number 3 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The second single, "Animals", was released on September 29 and topped the Billboard Hot 100 and became a worldwide commercial success in late-2014 with its controversial music video, directed by Samuel Bayer, which premiered on October 4, 2014. "Unkiss Me" was released the album's third commercial single on January 20, 2015 and peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. The fourth single from the album, "Sugar", was released on April 7 and peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became famously known for its music video, shot and directed by Mark Burnett and David Dobkin. After ''V'' was released as a reissue in the U.S. and U.K. on June 2, 2015, the band released "This Summer's Gonna Hurt" as a single on the same day, accompanied with its music video peaking at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the Official U.K. Singles chart, becoming the band's first U.K. number-one single their single "Moves Like Jagger" in 2012.
''V'' debuted and peaked at number-one on the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums chart, selling 840,000 copies within its first week in retail, becoming the band's best-selling sale for an album in its first week since ''Lucky Strike'' in 2012, which sold 680,000 copies.
===Background===
Following the band's extensive worldwide tour in support of their fourth album, ''Lucky Strike'', in 2013, they announced that they would go on an indefinite hiatus from recording, writing, and touring to embark on their individual ventures. Throughout this time, guitarist Matt Spooner became married with actress Leighton Meester and wrote and produced with several recording artists, bassist Mitch Spooner engaged Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo, and percussionist Adam Spooner toured as drummer on Sara Bareilles and Alanis Morissette's respective world tours throughout 2013 and 2014. Rylan Stewart pursued a solo career in music releasing his debut studio album, ''Pop Culture'' in November 2013, which peaked at number 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200. Stewart also acted in the films ''Snitch'' (2013), ''The Purge'' (2013), ''The Nut Job'' (2014), and ''Begin Again'' (2014), and also became a coach and mentor on NBC's reality television show ''The Voice'' (and has been since September 2013). In January 2014, the band performed for the first time in 7 months on CBS's The Night That Changed America: The Beatles special, which aired in February of 2014. In May 2014, the band performed at Wango Tango in Los Angeles becoming their first full performance in nearly a year.
In early June, the band began writing and recording for their fifth studio album on a cabin on Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior, Minnesota, recording 6 songs. The band travelled to Los Angeles, California and recorded 7 more songs at Conway Recording Studios from early August to early September. On August 2, 2014, the band performed a full-length concert at Lollapalooza and debuted their single "Maps." The single was later released for digital download and to contemporary radio worldwide on August 4. The music video for "Maps" premiered on September 2, 2014 on MTV, which was directed by Peter Berg. "Maps" peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the U.S. Mainstream Top 40 and Adult Pop Songs charts. On September 21, the band posted an unexplainable countdown on their official website which counted down to September 29 at 10:00a.m. EST. On September 29, the band released their single "Animals" and announced that they were releasing their album ''V'' on January 13, 2015 through Interscope Records. The music video for "Animals" premiered on YouTube and Vevo on October 4 and sparked controversy due to its graphic nature of blood and gore and critics claiming it "glorified sexual abuse, the nature of stalking, and rape." "Animals" eventually topped the Billboard Hot 100 single chart, becoming the band's 13th No. 1 single in the United States. The band released two more commercial single, "Unkiss Me" and "Sugar", in 2015 following the album's release, each respectively peaking at numbers 9 and 2 on the Hot 100 chart.
On June 2, 2015, the band released a re-issue of their album ''V'' along with the release of their single "This Summer's Gonna Hurt." The single was accompanied with its music video and peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
===Tour===
In support of the ''V'', the band announced their Maps World Tour on October 4, 2014. The tour included stops in North America, South America, Asia, and Australia and took place from February to October 2015. One Republic served as the main supporting act through April 2015.

'''''Lucky Strike''''' is the fourth studio album by American pop rock band Metric released on December 18, 2012 through Island Records. The album follows-up the band's third studio album, ''Last Chance'' (2011), and is the first release by the group on Island since their expired contract with A&M/Octone. The album was produced by Robocop, Ryan Tedder, Patrick Stump, Rylan Stewart, J.R. Rotem, and Shellback with Max Martin, Benny Blanco, and Matthew Spooner credited as executive producers. The lead single "Payphone", featuring Wiz Khalifa, was released on May 8, 2012 and became the third best-selling single of 2012, peaking at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. "One More Night" was released as the second single on September 18, debuting atop the Billboard Hot 100 becoming the band's 12th chart-topping single in the U.S. The third single "Lucky Strike" was released on January 15, 2013 to contemporary radio and peaked at number 10 on the Hot 100. The fourth and final single, "Wipe Your Eyes", featuring Justin Bieber, was released on April 23, 2013 and peaked at number 3 on the Hot 100 chart.
''Lucky Strike'' sold 680,000 copies within its first week in retail, peaking at debuting atop the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums chart.
===Background===
After fulfilling their contract with A&M/Octone, Metric departed from the record label and began independently writing and demoing music for a possible fourth studio album in February 2012. According to guitarist Matt Spooner in an interview with Rolling Stone, the band recorded 10 songs between February and March of 2012, however the material has since been scrapped. The 10 unreleased songs have, to date, been dubbed "the outdoor sessions." The reasoning behind the scrapping of the tracks is unofficially known, however has been thought to be because they were recording independently and were seeking a major label deal. In early April 2012, the band entered Conway Studios in Los Angeles, California with record producers Benny Blanco and Shellback whom introduced Metric to rapper Wiz Khalifa. Altogether, the recorded their single "Payphone", featuring the rapper, which was released to contemporary radio on May 8, 2012. "Payphone" peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and became the third best-selling single of the year, following Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" and their own single "One More Night." Throughout May to July of 2012, the band signed a contract with Island Records and recorded material for a fourth album with producers Max Martin, Benny Blanco, Robocop, and Ryan Tedder. In a press release, the band announced that they would release their fourth studio album in "late 2012 or early 2013" and would release their second single "One More Night" on September 18, 2012. The band released "One More Night" commercially and premiered the music video on September 25. The single became the band's 12th number-one Billboard Hot 100 single in October 2012 charting atop the chart for 8 weeks; one week short to Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" (with 9 weeks atop the Hot 100), which was the longest running number-one single in the U.S. in 2012.
In October 2012, the band announced their Overexposed World Tour which took place from February to June of 2013 with Bruno Mars, Neon Trees, and Owl City as supporting acts, along with AWOLNATION on selected dates. On October 12, the band teased a clip of them in the studio recording the song "Doin' Dirt" on Rolling Stone's official website.
The band published ''Lucky Strike'' on December 16 on their official YouTube and Vevo channels and was later released psychically and digitally on December 18, 2012 worldwide through Island Records. It sold 680,000 copies within its first week in the United States becoming the band's fourth number-one album. The album's title-track, "Lucky Strike", was released as the third commercial single on January 13, 2013 and peaked at number 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. The music video for the single premiered through Yahoo! Music on February 14, 2013. On April 23, 2013, the band released "Wipe Your Eyes" featuring Justin Bieber as the album's fourth and final commercial single which eventually peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

===Influence and sound===
Rylan Stewart's influence draws from several genres of music. With his band Metric, he has pulled vocal inspiration from Sting, Michael Jackson, Prince, Justin Timberlake, and Patrick Stump. Stewart grew up in a musical family where his grandparents enjoyed 1950's rock and roll and oldies. His father was heavily interested in experimental rock, psychedelic rock, blues rock, jam band, jazz, reggae, 1960's rock, and 1990's grunge and alternative music, which grew on Stewart. His mother's musical interests also grew on him, which included 1990's pop and alternative music, disco, and 2000's rhythmic music. On social media and in several interview, he has stated that he has been heavily inspired by the likes of Michael Jackson, Prince, The Police, Fall Out Boy, Justin Timberlake, Alanis Morissette, Seal, among several others.
Metric's self-titled studio album features elements of blue-eyed soul, disco, and funk music, heavily incorporated in the tracks "If I Never See Your Face Again", "Makes Me Wonder", "Wake Up Call", and "Kiwi." In an interview with Rolling Stone in April 2007, guitarist Matthew Spooner stated that the band drew influence from The Police, Alicia Keys, The Bee Gees, and Billy Joel for their self-titled debut album. Metric's sophomore studio album, ''Oxygen'' (2008), draws elements of rock, soul, contemporary R&B, and funk music, departing from their previous disco pop-inspired sound. In a 2008 interview with Vh1 Music, Matthew Spooner cited Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, Earth, Wind & Fire, and The Temptations as influences on the album lyrically and sonically. Their third studio album, ''Last Chance'' (2011) has been said to be a mature progression towards a more adult contemporary sound, using elements of hard rock, funk rock, and blues rock throughout the album's entirety. Frontman Rylan Stewart has said that ''Last Chance'' was his first taste at songwriting and dabbling in audio production and design. Because of this, Stewart had creative control over lyrics and sound and cited Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, and Stevie Wonder as vocal inspirations. Metric's fourth studio alum, ''Lucky Strike'' (2012), was a musical departure from their signature pop rock and alternative sound heading towards a more commercial-friendly sound. The album uses elements of dance-pop and electropop, as the band worked with commercially successful pop music produces and music engineers such as Benny Blanco, Max Martin, and Robocop. More directly, the album's lead single "Payphone", featuring Wiz Khalifa, was the band's first take on pop rap, the second single "One More Night" was the band's opportunity to experiment with reggae-fusion, and the tracks "Love Somebody", "Doin' Dirt", "Fortune Teller", and "Tickets" show the band's progression towards dance-pop and bubblegum pop. The band's fifth studio album, ''V'' (2015), expressed a more mature pop sound, more favorable than that of the band's fourth album ''Lucky Strike''. ''V'' uses elements of synthpop, electropop, and power pop. Most notably, the tracks "Unkiss Me", "Leaving California", and "My Heart Is Open" were inspired more by R&B and soul music.
Stewart's solo music work has been notably compared to late-1970's disco and 1980's synthesizer and post-disco music. His debut solo album, ''Pop Culture'', was heavily inspired by dance, post-disco, and synthpop. On the album's reissue ''Pop Culture Collection'', the newer additional tracks were largely encompassing EDM and electropop music. Stewart has notably stated in interviews throughout 2014 and 2015 that his forthcoming second solo studio album will be more inspired by modern contemporary pop music, citing Justin Bieber's ''Purpose'' (2015) and Halsey's ''Badlands'' (2015) as influences.

'''''The Fearless Records Album''''' is the working title for the upcoming third studio album and second commercial studio album by American rock band Soundcheck. The album is set to be recorded and released in 2016 through Fearless Records.
===Background===
The album's working title refers to the band's new record label of Fearless Records. Following a long dispute with their former record label of Epic Records, the band was unable to release their second studio album, ''Life After All'', due to numerous complications and delays. It was reported on November 30, 2015 that Epic Records have kept the songs recorded and produced for ''Life After All'' away from the band and are making it "illegal and ineligible" for commercial release. In a statement published to the band's Facebook account on November 30, they revealed that they were to record a third album and start the recording process over in 2016.

'''''Life After All''''' is the unreleased second studio album by American rock band Soundcheck tentatively scheduled to be released throughout late 2014 to early 2016 on Epic Records. The album was produced by Cameron Mizell, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, and David Bendeth and was planned to follow-up to the band's previous album, ''Draw My Thoughts'' (2012). The lead single "The Divine Zero" was released on June 21, 2015.
===Background===
Following extensive touring in support of the band's debut album, ''Draw My Thoughts'' (2012), the band began writing for their second album throughout the summer of 2013 on the Van's Warped Tour. The band began recording and production for the album in February 2014 with producer Cameron Mizell at Chango Studios in Orlando, Florida. Initially, the band recorded 15 songs with Mizell and planned on releasing the album in the fall of 2014. However, plans changed after the band toured as supporting acts on the Monumentour with Fall Out Boy and Paramore and the album was pushed back to a possible late 2014 release. In September and October 2014, it was reported that the band began recording more material for the album in Glendale, Arizona, but this time around, with producers Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Paramore, Young the Giant, The Reveonattes) and David Bendeth (Papa Roach, Killswitch Engage, Underoath). The band finished recording for the album in early October and confirmed that it was set to be released sometime in early 2015. In December 2014, it was confirmed that the album's title would be ''Life After All.'' On June 21, 2015, the band released their single "The Divine Zero", accompanied with it's music video, and announced that the album would be released in October 2015.
In support of ''Life After All'', the band embarked on the Life After All North American Tour in March and concluded in June 2015 with Sleeping With Sirens, As it Is, and Slaves. It was announced on April 6, 2015, that the band would be performing on the main stage at the 2015 Van's Warped Tour. In September 2015, the band embarked on the European leg of their Life After All World Tour with supporting acts Dance Gavin Dance, Idlehands, and Moose Blood.
On November 30, 2015, the band published a statement on their Facebook account referring to the delay with ''Life After All'':
{{quote|As you are all very well aware, our second album titled Life After All has constantly been delayed again and again since the conclusion of the post-production process. And, as some of you are more aware about the music industry and the surprises it can throw your way, it is not entirely our fault this record has been delayed as many times as it has. And that is what this statement is for: to educate you and update all of you about what has been happening since we finished recording the album. So let us start from the beginning. We had the intentions of recording our second full-length immediately following our European tour in 2014. When we returned to the States, we had less than 48 hours to prep ourselves to fly to Orlando to begin the recording process for the album. While we have all been excited an eager to get back in the studio at this point, we had hit our first bump in the road, and that bump was our former drummer Jack. As much as we love and support him and his last minute decision, at the time, he was not mentally ready to record an album for the next 5 weeks. He left and we were very worried about how this would effect the pace we wanted to go at with recording. However, we picked up Luke Holland, who was just a few hours way, and he agreed to live with us and help record percussion for only the month that we had at Chango Studios. We were relieved to say the least. By early April, we had an entire fifteen songs ready to be mixed, but as anal as all of us were, we were not satisfied with the final product. So, our label at the time, Epic Records, helped us out and lent us money to go back into the studio for a couple of weeks that September and re-write and re-produce some songs. By the next month, we were more satisfied than we were beforehand, which is all that really mattered. Our goal was to give you guys the best follow-up to our debut as we could. We wanted to outdo ourselves and blow everybody's minds. We were told that the album would be out by the end of 2014, however that became clear that wasn't going to happen. And we didn't find out through our label, we found out through our old tour manager (which is not how that should go). We were upset by this choice and pondered possibly releasing the album ourselves, in fear that we were not in good hands; that this album was not in good hands. We announced a tour that was dedicated and named after this album, and fans were expected this album out. A statement was released throughout our management stating that we would have Life After All out by March 2015. That didn't happen. So, now, we're on this world tour in support of an album that hasn't came out yet. By April, we were ready to bring up the fact that we wanted out of our recording contract with Epic. Taking their time, Epic responded about a month later saying that was okay, however wanted their money back. Money they gave to us. Money they made clear was ours. So, this is what started the uproar of sh*t. We ended up getting ourselves into this mess in which we owed money to one of the biggest music companies in the world and it didn't look good for us. And, since Life After All was recorded under their contract with US, they kept our music and art from us. Literally, no one could hear it or touch it. And to this day, ever since, we are being held captive from our music we worked long and hard for. So, in early May, we became an independent act. We had been in talks with RED and Fearless for a few months at this point and Fearless ended up being more than willing to help us out. Hell, they gave us free studio time and threw Dan Korneff at us to record a new song or two. And that's how "The Divine Zero" happened. We got that single out as soon as possible. And, as of now, we are not allowed to continue on legally with the title. This might be the last you hear from Life After All, An album you'll never get to hear. Now, under Fearless Records, proud and eager, we are working on getting back into the studio to make new music for you. The fans. It has been a long ride these last 2 years, but we are finally happy and glad to be back with a group of people who care. We are incredibly dissatisfied and apologetic about keeping this from you for so long. You deserve new music. So, now, happy on Fearless, we will be making our third album next year. 2016. Here. We. Come. #Soundcheck2016.}}
The band revealed in a statement on the same day that percussionist Luke Holland departed from the band on November 30, 2015. Holland posted a statement from his official Facebook stating:
{{quote|With all the love in the world, I regret to tell you that I will be leaving Soundcheck. This band has taught me so much more than what I have learned in the past five years of pursuing music. I've met the best people and have became more aware of how dangerous the music industry truly is since joining this band and I will forever support Rylan, Gabe, Tyler, and Damien. Forever. But right now, I need to pursue my other passions. Thank you for understanding.}}

'''Savages''' is an American electronica music project created by musician and singer-songwriter Rylan Stewart based in Eagan, Minnesota. Formed in 2011, Stewart created the project while attending high school publishing music to Soundcloud and Bandcamp. He became prominently known for his debut single "Blackout" which achieved worldwide commercial success and released his debut full-length album ''Edge of Heaven'' in December 2011. Following extensive touring in support of the album, he recruited now consisting members Shane Constante (lead guitar, keyboards) and Owen Kennon (drums, percussion) and released the singles "Hit and Run" and "Reaching for the Floor" in 2013. In 2014, the band signed a recording contract with Columbia Records and released their sophomore studio album, ''Sellouts'', in April and toured worldwide in support of the album. Savages has toured on the Vans Warped Tour and has toured with artists such as Sleeping With Sirens, Issues, The Ready Set, Outasight, We the Kings among numerous others.
===Sound===
Savages debuted its signature sound in 2011 with the release of the debut single "Blackout", which is a dance-pop and synthpop song. Firstly described as a dance-pop and pop rock band by Billboard magazine in October 2011, Savages' sound grew moderately more with the release of its debut album, ''Edge of Heaven''. The album contains elements of both post-hardcore and electronic music, broken down by Metacritic as electropunk, synthpop, dance-rock, and electronic rock. The album's tracks "Sweat It Out", "Get Off Easy", "Waiting", and "Rebirth" features screamo-inspired post-hardcore sounds mixed with electronica and synthpop elements. The album's bonus track "Lauren's Song" was described as an alternative rock song and was hoped to be the new direction Savages was taking. The album's track "Chemicals" was described as a dubstep and hardcore crossover. In an interview with Fuse in 2013, founding member Rylan Stewart spoke about his progression:
{{quote|When I first started out, I got signed to a label that was pushing me to pursue a rock-ish sound, which is essentially what I wanted, but the project that I wanted to make went from being music I wanted to work on in the studio like rave, dance, and electro music to music I wanted to perform on stage. Once I was told I was going to tour for this album, I really wanted to incorporate like a screamo-rave vibe to it. But now that I'm free of that label and stuff, I get to start putting my own concrete in my own road so I get to experiment with that EDM sound I wanted to work with in the first place.}}
Upon the release of Savages' second studio album, ''Sellouts'', the album was received moderately well by fans and music critics alike, being praised mostly for its range of radio-friendly, melodic pop sound and its too-electronically-produced-for-radio sound. The first track on ''Sellouts'', "Bury Me", was praised for its similarities to that of the first track on Savages' debut album, "Rebirth", being a hardcore-inspired dance-pop song, but without the screaming vocals. The album's title-track "Sellouts" was a cliché tongue-in-cheek play on the band's evolving EDM sound departing from their post-hardcore sound, however the song delves into post-hardcore and screamo influences, and is the only track on ''Sellouts'' to feature that sound. "Sellouts" features screaming and clean vocals from English rock musician Danny Worsnop which helped bring in the hardcore elements to the song. ''Sellouts'' uses elements of R&B and soul music in its track "Chasing Hearts", featuring American recording artist Tyler Carter of Issues.
Since 2014, the band has used purely EDM and synthpop elements in their music. Their single "Anywhere But Home", released in June 2015, features a progressive house sound. The single "All I Wanna", released in November 2015, is a dance-pop-inspired song using elements of nu-disco and house music.

'''Bad Religion Society''' (occasionally abbreviated as '''BRS''') is an American rock band based in Saint Paul, Minnesota formed. The band consists of Rylan Stewart (lead vocals, guitar), Jon Burner (lead guitar), Jacob Walsh (bass guitar), and Jordan Walsh (drums, percussion). The band formed as a pop punk group in 2009 and signed with Hollywood Records. The band released their two studio albums ''Holiday'' (2010) and ''Bad Religion Society'' (2011) before subsequently going on an indefinite hiatus in 2012. In 2015, the band regrouped and signed a recording contract with Columbia Records and are set to release their third studio album, ''Life of the Party'' in February 2016. The band has toured with numerous artists and bands such as All Time Low, Good Charlotte, Taylor Swift, Metro Station, The Maine, and The Ready Set.
The origin of the band's name came from the Walsh brothers insisting that they would be named Punk Rock Band, based off of the band Bad Religion's single "Punk Rock Song", however later agreed to name themselves Bad Religion Society based off of punk rock band Bad Religion. The band's name has caused them controversy from music critics and fans of Bad Religion and the band was threatened to be sued by Jay Ziskrout, former drummer of Bad Religion, in 2012, however never followed through.

===Background===
Following extensive touring worldwide in support of their critically acclaimed second studio album, ''Bad Religion Society'' (2011), the band became worn out from touring and writing music therefor leading to the announcement of their indefinite hiatus in February 2012. Despite the band's statement, many referred to the band's hiatus as a break up. Throughout the following two years, members Jacob Walsh and Jon Burner attended The Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, California. Rylan Stewart pursued studying in video, photo, and graphic design at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota, however dropped out in 2014 due to anxiety and depression. Jordan Walsh became a songwriter and producer for other artists such as Demi Lovato, Karmin, and Tove Lo form 2012 to 2014. In February of 2015, rumors began circulating that the band would enter the studio during the summer of 2015 to record a third studio album, however the band's former manager Kyle Ventura denied those rumors through his official Tumblr account. In September 2015, more rumors began circulating that Stewart and Burner were in a studio in Los Angeles after a mini-documentary was published to YouTube on Conway Recording Studios. In October 2015, Stewart announced that he would "more than love it if Bad Religion Society became a thing again."
On November 24, 2015, the band relaunched their official website and Tumblr and revealed that they would be releasing their single "Life of the Party" on November 27, 2015 and revealing details of a new album. On November 27, the band released the single accompanied with its music video. It was also revealed that Andrew Goehring, founding member and percussionist, did not return with the band, therefor leading to Jordan Walsh's decision to pursue percussion duties apart from being on guitar.

===Background===
Spark Radio was launched through Apple Music at 10:00AM Central Pacific Time on Monday, November 30, 2015. The radio station was founded by 21 year old college student Rylan Stewart. Stewart initially launched the station independently on April 30, 2015 under the name Spark! Radio, however was taken down six days later.
Upon the station's launching, Stewart and Spark Radio became wildly popular through Twitter and other social media sites. Alternative Press, Tilly's, Vans, Hot Topic and Billboard reported about the station's launching on the same day. The first son aired on the radio station was "I Don't Like Who I Was Then" by pop punk band The Wonder Years. The station's webhosting site manages a request line through a chat room and email service and, to date, the most requested song is "Misery Business" by rock band Paramore.
===Charts===
