Weekend Now debuted in 2001 two months before the channel's debut of Live By It. It originally started as ''Weekend:Now.'' The show was first anchored by Kelly Cass and Bill Keneely and the other was Melissa Barrington and Bob Stokes. Any given hour of the program would be hosted by one team while a member of the other team provided special segments like the ''Travel Forecast'' and ''Weather Maker''. CANCELLED

Their graphics were the same as The Weather Channel's, using a blue scheme, and most notable is the voices of Strokes and Cass. CANCELLED

In 2003, Weekend Planner launched and the show was given a new timeslot, 11 a.m-2 p.m. ET. Unlike the original, the program contained less segments than ''Weather Center and PM Edition.'' On August 2, 2008, The program started airing in [[High-definition television|high-definition]].

Weekend Now is the oldest program, as ''[[Weekend View]]'' launched on Saturday October 1, 2005 and ''[[Weekend Outlook]]'' ended in March 2009 after six years.
