The art garden is named after the impresario and lyricist Billy Rose (1899-1966). Isamu Noguchi started to plan the sculpture park from the 1960s on the slopes of the museum grounds and divided the terrain into different sections through walls made of rough unworked field stones. The artificial garden was completed in 1965. == Gallery == <gallery> File:Michael Gross - Queen.jpg| File:Kadishman, suspence 1966.jpg| File:'Man in the Open Air', bronze sculpture by Elie Nadelman, c. 1915, Israel Museum, Jerusalem, Israel.JPG| File:Antoine Bourdelle-La Grande Penelope- Israel Museum.jpg| File:Eos xk (3), 1965.JPG| </gallery> == Other websites == Sculptures in the Billy Rose Art Garden * The Billy Rose Art Garden in the Israel Museum website ⏎ ⏎ ⏎ de:Billy-Rose-Kunstgarten nl:Billy Rose Art Garden All content in the above text box is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license Version 4 and was originally sourced from https://simple.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=prev&oldid=5651001.
