Born in 1994 in [[Santa Cruz, Chile|Santa Cruz]], [[Colchagua Province|Colchagua]], [[Chile]], Grez-Cañete completed his secondary education at [[Colegio de la Preciosa Sangre|Colegio de la Preciosa Sangre de Pichilemu]] and pursued studies in history at the [[University of Chile]].
