The '''Hualien earthquake''' was an [[earthquake]] that occurred in the [[East China Sea]], about 20 km off the Coast of [[Taiwan]] in early 2018. the quake had a magnitude between 6 and 6,5 on the [[Richter scale]]. Seventeen people died and about 300 were injured during the event.
