Shifuji was born in the town of Gurdaspur Punjab, spent most of his life in Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, [[Punjab (India)|Punjab]]. His father Rudra Bhan K. In 1999, Grandmaster Shifuji founded “Mission Prahar” an initiative to educate, train and empower the women across the nation. Mission Prahar is completely “free of cost” for rural India Women Community. ==Controversy==
Grandmaster Shifuji has been accused of allegedly misusing the insignia of the Indian Army and wearing army and Special Forces uniform claiming himself as an army officer. The issue was investigated by Crime branch and Master Shifuji declared clean from all the accusations by the state and central authorities, India in 2016. Master Shifuji has never claimed that he is an Indian army officer, nor he has stated to be recruited any post in the armed forces.
