==Early life and education==
Aafi was born on 5 October 1999 in [[Doru Shahabad]], a town in the Anantnag district of Jammu ad Kashmir.<ref name="rajasthan"/> He completed his primary studies from Government Middle School, Nathipora and moved to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Anantnag in 2010.<ref name="sqnews" /> He studied in the Navodaya for about 3 years and left it after completing his middle studies in March 2013.<ref name="sqnews" />
 Aaqib Aafi completed his intermediatematriculation studies from Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education in 2017 and thenIqbal Memorial Institute, Doru in 2015 and moved to Government Higher Secondary School, Doru for higher secondary studies. Het obtained a diploma in Urdu language and literature from Indira Gandhi National Open University in June 2019.<ref name="sqnews" />Heand is currently studying in the Jamia Millia Islamia with Islamic Studies in major.<ref name="rajasthan"/><ref name="sqnews" />  ⏎

==Career==
Aaqib Aafi started his career in writing biographical articles about Indian scholars of the Deobandi school of thought in 2016.<ref name="rajasthan"/> His first article of the series appeared in Sarbakaf, an online Urdu magazine.<ref>{{cite book |title=Sarbakaf 9 |edition=November, December 2016|pages=82-85}}</ref> He later wrote for ''Pasban'', an Azamgarh based Urdu magazine.<ref>{{cite book |title=Pabsan 5 |publisher=Azamgarh, Pasban-e-Ilm-Adab |pages=35-38 |edition=July, August 2019 |language=Urdu}}</ref>In 2018, Aafi wrote a book named ''Urdu Zaban-o-Adab ke farogh mai Ulama-e-Deoband ka hissa'' and is currently working on a 7 volume biographical encyclopedia about the scholars of Deoband.<ref name="sqnews" />
