It is a sequel to 2000's ''Chicken Run'' and stars Julia Sawalha, Mel Gibson, Ryan Gosling, Eddie Izzard, Amanda Seyfried, Jake Gyllenhaal, Dan Fogler, Michael Caine, Timothy Spall, Phil Daniels, Kate Botsworth, and Jim Gaffigan. In the film, the chickens and rats go on a trip to America where they team up with some free-range chickens in order to stop the British soldiers from destroying the USA. The film was produced by DreamWorks Animation and released on June 23, 2020, by Universal Pictures. The film grossed $385.4 million worldwide and received critical acclaim.
