The painting by Grubicy De Dragon, belonging to the artistic current of [[Divisionism]], ''applied in an unscientific but intuitive and emotional way'', portrayis part of the [[Divisionism]] art movement. It shows a small beach in the village of [[Lierna]] on Lake Como, in Via Roma,. This is where [[Pliny the Younger resided in the Villa Commedia.
