Süs became known for the "Vergißmeinicht Collection", which mainly comprised [[bowl]]s. From 1914 to 1917, he was a teacher at the {{Ill|Academy of Fine Arts, Karlsruhe|en}}. In 1917, he was appointed director of the {{Ill|Kunsthalle Mannheim|en}}.


Paintings by him can be found, among others, in the {{Ill|Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden|de}}, the {{Ill|Kunsthalle Mannheim|en}} and the {{Ill|Mannheim Palace|en}}.
