The refuge sees various expansion and improvement interventions: in 1921 the first works that lead to an external coating of sheet metal and zinc; in 1955 the current masonry structure was built and in 1983 the old building was dismantled.<ref>{{cite book|title=

In 1923, on the occasion of the celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of the foundation of the CAI section of Milan, the connecting path between the Rosalba refuge and the Carlo Porta refuge was inaugurated, on the Resinelli floors.
