He was encouraged by his father Mr Daryush Nemat Naser, (Violinist, a fellow student of Ostad [[Abolhasan Saba]]) to learn Piano from age of 6. Growing up in a family with a long and rich music and acting, grandson of Mrs Rughieh Chehreh Azad([[Iranian actress]]), mother of Iran's cinema and brother of Mrs Afsaneh Chehreh Azad ([[Iranian actress]]), he entered the music school in Tehran and started playing Tar from age of 9. He attended the classes of the great and famous Iranian musician Ostad [[Houshang zarif]] for Tar and Ostad [[Hossein Dehlavi]] and [[Farhad Fakhreddini]] for music composing and harmoni. He graduated from the music school in 1982 and could not precede his study due to the Iranian Revolution. He started working in the Centre for the Preservation and Propagation of traditional Iranian Music and collaborated with [[Mohammad-Reza Shajarian]], [[Parviz Meshkatian]], [[The Kamkars]], [[Simā Binā]], [[Iraj Bastami]], [[Shahram Nazer]], Alireza Eftekhari, Abdol Hossein Mokhtabad, [[Sedigh Tarif]], Ali Asghar Shahzeidi, Sheyda Jahed, Akbar Golpa, [[Hossein Khaje Amiri (Iraj)]] and Naser Masoudi.
