Carlin is the voice of Rutgers Scarlet Knights football and men's basketball. In his earlier career, Carlin called football, basketball, and lacrosse games for the Hobart Deacons as well as NFL Europe on NFL Network. He was a play-by-play announcer for the Geneva and Williamsport Cubs. The franchicse is now the Williamsport Crosscutter as well as football for the Bucknell Bison. He was the studio host for the New York Giants Radio Network and called preseason play-by-play for the Giants.
