'''Omer Tarin''', born March 1966, is a well-known [[Pakistani]] poet, writer and scholar. 

He was born in [[Peshawar]], [[Pakistan]], in a highly-educated and elite [[feudal]] family, and educated at the [[Burn Hall School]], [[Abbottabad]], the [[Aitchison College]], [[Lahore]], and the [[University of the Punjab]], Lahore. He later went on to take higher degrees from the [[United Kingdom]]. 

He has published several collections of poetry and some of his work has been also published in the UK, the [[USA]] and other countries. His poetry is marked by a unique [[mystic]], [[transcendental]] tone and a rich and vivid [[imagery]].
