Notability and reliability of sources
The subject of this stub article doesnt seem to be a notable/well-known author/scholar/literary figure here, in Pakistan, to the best of my knowledge. The source cited as reference is also somewhat dubious, being only a local paper at Chitral district level only-- its not one of Pakistan's major English language dailies i.e. The News, Dawn, Daily Times, Express Tribune and The Nation. I would seriously request that this be taken cognizance of, please. ThanksHamneto (talk) 23:08, 24 October 2012 (UTC)Hamneto

:Hi Hamneto. Interesting you should say this. A few months ago, I was that this be deleted, but didn't have the time then to look into it seriously. The article's version on the English Wikipedia is quite extensive, with images, but it only cites a single source. The Urdu version has quite a lot of sources -- maybe you can read them? Maybe it's just that most of his coverage is in local sources (and local languages)? Dear User:Osiris thanks for your response here. I have now read both the English and Urdu versions as suggested by you. Hmm-- I think that you are probably right, to quite an extent. By Wikipedia standards, in the full English version, the article on the subject seems to have several problems including lack of appropriate citations. On the other hand there are some 24-25 citations in the Urdu version, of which some 5-6 relate to national level Urdu and or English media, or governmental/official websites (eg the Ministry of Education etc) mentioning very brief and general comments on various people including Mr Chitrali. The rest of the citations/references are from local/regional Khowar and Urdu papers or gazettes from Chitral area. I see also that there is a video or video link of some sort (which I couldnt however open due to some problems on my net service)_ that was recorded by the gentleman on 'Khyber TV' which is a provincial level TV channel also giving some coverage to national issues and so on, and is quite reliable. At the same time, I dont think that he is otherwise so very well known at a broader Pakistani or even global level. What would be the status of such an article, thus, here on Wikipedia? Could we then make some amendments to reflect the situation? Thanks, Hamneto (talk) 12:25, 25 October 2012 (UTC)Hamneto
