Sujata Trivdei is a playback singer. She began singing when she was 7 years old. She won many prizes and awards. Her training in classical music started under Prabhakar Dhakde in Nagpur, Padmashree Ustaad Ghulaam Mustafa Khan, Pt. Ajay Pohankar, and Ustad Asad Ali Khan. She has learnt various aspects of light music under Pt. Satyanarayan Mishra, Gautam Mukherji and the late Shri Kalyanjibhai. She recorded with Music Maestro A.R. Rahman songs like the title track of “Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha”, Boondon Se Baatein and classical based “Yeh Jo Zindagi Hai” from 1947 Earth. She also recorded Viju Shah for Calcutta mail’s “In Saahab Ko Zara Dekho”. For Rani mukherji.

She has rendered playback for over 25 Bollywood films.
 
She is the winner of the Best Singer of India Award. She also won best singer from “Hum Log” 2000 and Suvidha Gaurav award 2002.
 
She has also sung various languages like Marathi, Bhojpuri, Manipuri, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil, Malayalam, Nepali, Rajasthani, Udiya and many more.
