'''Seven For A Secret''' are a four piece indie/rock band. They are currently based in Northamptonshire, England. The members are Katie Cottrell, George Rose, Kat Gough and Joe Cooney.

== History ==

=== 2011-2012: Early Career ===
The band was formed after Katie Cottrell and George Rose started performing as a vocal and guitar duo in local pubs and low-key venues in late 2011. The band’s sound started off as mainly acoustic, featuring a single acoustic guitar with a cajon instead of a drumkit, developing into an alternative rock style influenced by the likes of The Killers and Arctic Monkeys, however, “Drunken Love Songs” has shown a new direction in their music, going into a more mellow indie genre. They have amassed a strong, dedicated fanbase of all ages across Northamptonshire and the UK, with an EP to be released soon. The story behind the name of the band is said to be "We needed a name for a competition fast so we came up with Seven For A Secret, and it seems to have stuck."

=== 2012-present ===
The bands first single with new drummer Joe Cooney was 'Drunken Love Songs', which clocked over 1,000 from none in just a few weeks. Over the past year and a half of performing together, they have played at notorious venues including The Bedford Ballroom in London, The Birmingham Ormison Academy, and the Roadmender and Picturedrome of Northampton.The band have also played festivals, open mics, competitions and other gigs all over their local area of Northamptonshire, including a live session on CRMK radio in January 2012 and their latest single “Drunken Love Songs” being featured on the BBC Northampton Introducing show in September.
