Sims has been [[marriage|married]] to David Patterson since July 10, 2010. The couple have a daughter Ava Patterson (b. August 2011).
Sims has since then changed her last name from Patterson back to Sims. 

Their second child, David Bernard Patterson III, was born November 6, 2012.

Their third child, Dean Danny Benjamin Patterson, was born June 20, 2014.

December 8, 2018, the social media model has announced via her instagram she gave birth to a son, Ashton Joseph Barnes with retired NBA player Matt Barnes.
