==Biography==
Shibasaki was born in [[Noheji, Aomori|Noheji]], [[Aomori Prefecture|Aomori]] on May 28, 1992. After graduating from [[Aomori Yamada High School]], he joined [[J1 League]] club [[Kashima Antlers]] in 2011. He became a regular player from 2012 and was selected "Best Young Player award". In 2016, Kashima won the champions in [[J1 League]] and qualified for [[2016 FIFA Club World Cup|2016 Club World Cup]] as host country champions. At Club World Cup, he played all 4 matches and scored 2 goals against [[Real Madrid CF|Real Madrid]] at the final. In January 2017, he moved to Spanish [[Segunda División]] club [[CD Tenerife|Tenerife]]. In summer 2017, he moved to [[La Liga]] club [[Getafe CF|Getafe]]. However his opportunity to play decreased in the 2018/19 season. In 2019, he moved to Segunda División club [[Deportivo de La Coruña|Deportivo La Coruña]]. Although he played many matches, the club was relegated to [[Segunda División B]] end of the 2019/20 season. In 2020, he moved to [[CD Leganés|Leganés]].

In 2009, Shibasaki was selected the [[Japan national under-17 football team|Japan U-17 national team]] for [[2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup|2009 U-17 World Cup]]. At this tournament, he played all 3 matches. On September 9, 2014, he debuted for the [[Japan national football team|Japan national team]] against [[Venezuela national football team|Venezuela]]. In 2015, he played at [[2015 AFC Asian Cup|2015 Asian Cup]]. From 2018, he became a regular player as defensive midfielder under new manager [[Akira Nishino]].
