== Route Description ==
Grant Road begins at the intersection of State Route 237 and State Route 82 (El Camino Real) as a four lane divided road and heads southwest past the Mountain View and Grant Park Shopping Centers. After passing by one of the Mountain View fire stations, it hits Cuesta Drive and starts going directly south, passing by El Camino Hospital. The road enters Los Altos when it reaches Levin Avenue and Covington Road. Levin Avenue had it's own intersection with the road until it was connected to Covington road in late 2011. After passing Covington road and Levin Avenue, the road becomes an undivided two lane road. About a mile later it hits Fremont Avenue which leads to Sunnyvale and downtown Los Altos, and then continues down for another half a mile, passing by some churches, before hitting Foothill Expressway and Saint Joseph Avenue. It then continues south along Foothill Expressway, passing by Woodland Branch Library and a Lucky grocery store before ending at Homestead Road. Once drivers reach the southern terminus of the road, they can take Homestead Road to get to Santa Clara and San Jose or Take Foothill Expressway South to reach Cupertino. They can also get on Foothill Expressway North at Saint Joseph Avenue to go to Palo Alto. If they are going north on the road and reach the northern terminus at State Route 237 and State Route 82, they can take State Route 82 North to get to Los Altos, State Route 82 South to get to Sunnyvale, or continue on State Route 237 to get to Milpitas.

== Road Safety ==
The speed limit on this road is 25 miles per hour on the undivided sections of the road and 35 mph on the divided sections of the road. There are bike lanes on both sides of the road.
