Benjamin was born in St. Louis, Missouri He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Film and Animation from California Institute of the Arts.
Gluck's student short film name ''Man's Best Friend was awarded the esteemed Walter Lantz Award.'' The film premiered worldwide in heavy rotation on MTV's network, and received many top awards in the US and International film circuits and toured worldwide in Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Animation Festival.
== Career ==
Gluck began his career at [[DreamWorks Animation|DreamWorks]] Feature Animation where he was recruited by Oscar-winning director [[Brenda Chapman]], as the studios very first story trainee on ''[[The Prince of Egypt]]''. Shortly after, Gluck was recruited by [[Walt Disney Feature Animation]], where he was mentored by [[Tony Award]] winner [[Roger Allers]], and he worked for over a decade as a key member of the feature animation story team. Gluck served as the first Story Head at [[Disneytoon Studios|Disney-Toon Studios]], tasked with elevating sequels to feature film quality, and he directed the [[Annie Award]] winning film ''[[Brother Bear 2]]'', this film is Disney's second sequel to have a higher rating on [[Rotten Tomatoes]] than its predecessor.<ref>{{cite news|title=Brother Bear 2 - Rotten Tomatoes|url=https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/brother_bear_2/|work=[[Rotten Tomatoes]]}}</ref> Gluck was Head of Story on the [[Tim Burton]] animated feature film, ''[[9 (2009 animated film)|9]].''
