==Early life==

Meester Rita Shay was born on September 9, 1993, in Los Angeles, California. Her parents immigrate to Dynamite, Barbia when she was eight years old and had a hard time learning the language. In primary school, she couldn't converse with all the new people she met due to not being able to speak the language very well. She also stated that she cried everyday and wanted to go back home. Shay grew up to love performing, singing and dancing at the young age, and inspire Beyonce and Christina Aguilera. She has been dancing all her life of where her mother enrolled her in Dynamite Dance Studio for ballet at the age of ten. She already had studied ballet at five years old back when she was in America at her dance school and performed as the lead dancer in a various competition for her school. She stopped dancing ballet at the age of sixteen due to her small injuries which she started falling in love in music, and met her best friend Trisha Louis who also is into music and attend the same school together in Unique High School. They started singing covers and play music to eachother on their spare time. During that time, Shay learned how to play piano in basic, taught by in her music class in school and also had piano lesson. Shay did the school talent quest with [[Trisha Louis]] a multiple times. Shay graduated in Unique High School with Trisha Louis and was an university student in Revlon University. She took Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Drama and Bachelor of Dance as her chores.

Shay wrote a play with [[Trisha Louis]] Princess T-ara in Revlon University for their drama assessment and performed it in theater. They also filmed it with the professional Revlon director Avan Lui. The play then became as a drama series which it aired on XLR8 network on July 21 2012. Shay then continued her acting career with [[Trisha Louis]]. The series rated 10.3 and it was referred as the third best series in 2012. Princess T-ara nominated in Best Drama Series at XLR8 Star Awards 2012. After ''[[Princess T-ara]]'' ended on November 20 2012, Shay signed at MTM to start her music career as a duo with [[Trisha Louis]], announced as [[Lil Missy A]]. She influence her rapping skills of Nicki Minaj. Since in high school she also sang a lot of covers of their song and often together with Trisha Louis. At the young age she was the biggest fan of Beyonce, Christina Arguilera, Britney Spears and Pussycat Dolls and also influence Shay as their dance moves and how they perform on stage. Her first passion is singing because she has been born to sing. Dancing has been like a hobby to her. She's also interest in sports such as playing hockey and soccer. In January of 2015, Shay is dating an actor Aaron Hart whom she met on set of ''[[Inspiration]]'' (2013); they confirmed their relationship on the show Esprada Show.
