Sandboxes, like [[Wikipedia:Sandbox]], are pages designed for testing and experimenting with [[Help:wiki markup|wiki syntax]] and the [[WP:VE|VisualEditor]].

They were  created as a place with fewer rules and policies than other pages on Wikipedia. For example, you don't have to follow the [[Wikipedia:Manual of Style|Manual of Style]] or reach community [[wikipedia:consensus|consensus]] before making a major change. However, they [[Wikipedia:Misuse of the sandbox|must not be used for malicious purposes]], and policies such as [[Wikipedia:no personal attacks|no personal attacks]],  [[Wikipedia:civility|civility]], and [[Wikipedia:Copyrights|copyrights]] (such as [[Wikipedia:non-free content criteria|non-free content criteria]]) still apply.

If you have an [[wikipedia:Why create an account?|account]], you can create your own sandbox in your [[Wikipedia:userpage|userspace]]. You can find your user sandbox [{{fullurl:Special:Mypage/sandbox|action=edit&preload=Template:User_Sandbox/preload}} here]. If you don't have an account, you can create your sandbox [{{fullurl:Special:Mytalk/sandbox|action=edit&preload=Template:User_Sandbox/preload}} here]. (And if it doesn't exist yet, feel free to create it!) For easy access, there is a link labeled "sandbox" at the top right of every page between the "talk" and "preferences" links. You can also put {{tl|My sandbox}} on your userpage.

If you want more sandboxes then make a page in your userspace and designate it as your sandbox. 

To create a new sandbox (call it anything, such as "sandbox2") enter this in the search box, using your actual username:

Unlike your primary sandbox, Wikipedia does not automatically keep a way to link to these, so be sure to bookmark it or otherwise have links on your userpage which go to your other sandboxes.
