David & Gosselin 2011 renamed the scientific name of the bird as you can see [http://www.worldbirdnames.org/updates/archives/taxonomy-version-2/ here]. The refrence Sjoerd removed seems to be outdated (the refrence is from 1996) since the scientific name of the Australian White Ibis is renamed from ''Threskiornis molucca'' to ''Threskiornis moluccus'' in 2011 and this name is accepted by the IOC World Bird List. Wikiklaas explains at my Dutch talkpage why the scientific name has changed. He explains that by the rules of the [http://www.nhm.ac.uk/hosted-sites/iczn/code/?nfv=true&article=30%20femmal zoological nomenclature] the renaming is correct. Geachte meneer de Bruin,

Weet u wel wat dat betekent als u dynamische IP-adressen blokkeert?
Vraag het eens aan uw collega RonaldB.

Die heeft dat ooit gedaan en daarmee duizenden Italianen en mij gedupeerd vanwege wat hij als vandalisme zag en dat is jaren geleden.
Toevallig werd ik daar slachtoffer van en kon hij het rechtzetten. Nu is eigenlijk het omgekeerde aan de hand. Ik zie de bijdragen die ik met mijn (tijdelijk) IP-adres heb gedaan niet als verstorend, maar eerder nuttig, zoals  vertalingen e.d.
Ook in de Community Chat (zeg maar de evenknie van De Kroeg) heb ik een fout aangekaart die inmiddels is verbeterd.

U handelt als een betweterige bureaucraat, bijna dictator en nog wel een week voor weinig vandalisme...
Daarvoor moet je op nl heel wat op je kerfstok hebben en dan kun je ook nog naar de ArbCom. Bij WikiData ook en zo ja wat is het adres?

Het is mij gebeurd. Zie [[User_talk:151.40.186.86]] dat nu iemand anders kan hebben, wschl. een Italiaan... Inmiddels heb ik een ander adres toegewezen gekregen. I guess this means that the Wikipedia/wikidata family is no longer really interested in increasing their knowledge base. And I can't really blame them (I blame Google). Perhaps it is time for a new alternative.

How can you learn what is in the world by asking users to create items by first learning this terribly difficult interface? 
And then you come deleting them with little to no explanation as to why one is deleted and the other is not.
Why not just ask us to submit our items direct to moderators/or whatever you call them?
At least that way, no one can be accused of creating spam! 

FYI, that "neologism" was created by Procter & Gamble in 2004 NOT me. 
I learned about it all the way in Nigeria, West Africa in 2012 (through Google).
If i have sinned against Wikidata by thinking that this term (which conceptualizes a more strategic and encompassing form of point-of-sale advertising) then I guess I joined the wrong community.
There are many many facts and concepts here in Africa that require data representations online. 
Apart from myself and a few others, there are just not that many people who would have the time or drive to learn this complex wikidata interface to help furnish the web with such data; or help in verifying them.

Anyway, whatever...... I'm sure no one would respond to this anyway! :-(

Op zich is daar wel wat voor te zeggen omdat als er via de URL allerlei parameters worden doorgegeven die parameters meteen na het vraagteken beginnen. Together with a group of other researchers from the same University, we are currently conducting a research aiming to discover how newcomers become full participants into the Wikidata community. Hi.  How do I use Petscan to generate a list of whatlinkshere for item such as {{q|19093101}}?   It is a slow and tedious process to 1) manually create all the subparts of the work, then 2) add them as parts of the parent. I clearly need to know/learn how to do these differently. Creating an edition at WD is a tedious task of manually entering much information that already exists elsewhere in the system, then when there are subparts to a work that are individually significant, creating and populating the subparts, linking, then adding a badge.  For subparts often numbers of factors are the same, but there will be subtle variations in one factor, eg. page numbers, that require manual entry. Can you offer guidance to help the obviously confused? == Re references ==

I use many obscure references and some primary sources for Wikisource authors. Many sources will not have entries here, and I am not going to create items for them, wayyyyy too time consuming. I document author references on the author talk page at enWS.

I have talked about my issues with referencing here and the complexity with it from census records eg. {{q|Q7887918}}, parish registers, plethora of books, etc.  I am thankful for some of the progress by enable copying of references, however, a copy and paste of data with a copy and paste of the reference to enWS is so much easier and quicker than the multi components of reference addition here.  For example adding a probate from the Eng and Wal {{q|Q5019515}} means the title, vol, publication year, page, and url; and I will usually do it, but when I have multiple refs, and multiple people to do, it just so slows the process. Happy to talk further, though this is maybe the fourth or fifth time I have had this conversation and the previous responses amounted to "suck it in princess".  If references are that important we need a more convenient means to do this.

While talking about needs, I would think that it would be more important to have the primary data for enWS editions, and that data is readily available in our Index and linked pages, or in the file detail at Commons, and that addition of detail is all manual. Being manual means that it is predominantly not done unless it is the pedants like me as I complete works. Seems like something where we need something to scrape that detail into a form that could be edited and submitted to WD, either push from the enWS side, or suck from this side.

Happy to talk more about these, as long as there is a meaningful point. I have had too many discussions about the WS needs and the difficulties that have simply gone nowhere. Voor bedrijven, stichtingen, verenigingen e.d. heb je KvK-nummer en eenn officiële naam die notarieel is vastgelegd, maar ook door de oprichter zelf verzonnen. Is dat op zich "reclame"? Natuurlijk niet. Gewoon een controleerbaar feit. Een code om een persoon te identificeren of dat nu paspoort-/rijbewijsnummer, BSN, ORCID, LI-nummer/-naam is toch altijd een handige houvast bij identificatie? Voor bedrijven, stichtingen, verenigingen e.d. heb je KvK-nummer en eenn officiële naam die notarieel is vastgelegd, maar ook door de oprichter zelf verzonnen. Is dat op zich "reclame"? Natuurlijk niet. Gewoon een controleerbaar feit.
