香港警队和消防相当先进现代化，水准堪称全球数一数二。警察在街上巡逻频密，警署在市区分布也相当密集，因此香港犯罪率相对其它大都市而言，极低。而召唤紧急服务后，救护车8分钟内能到达更是世界绝无仅有。
