Tung-Wang was a [[Buddhist  ]] [[monk]] who lived roughly 1200 years ago. He has compiled a number of stories (long and short) that have been translated. His most famous work was the story "[[The Cucumber Sage]]" a short-story about a monk that came to his care and tought many people the meaning of being a true buddhist monk.
