While Eragon is in Gil'ead, he is captured by [[Galbatorix]]'s soldiers. However, he then escapes and rescues the elf he had scryed earlier (who turned out to be [[Arya]]). Eragon is reunited with [[Murtagh]], but he runs into and fights [[Durza]]. Murtagh apparently kills Durza with an arrow, and they escape with the elf.
