Joe completed his second UKFC short film Veteran, which he wrote and directed as part of the Digital Shorts slate 2009 and his third UKFC film Junk, part of the 2010 slate, which has been shortlisted for the 2011 [[Iris Prize]].
 Both films are currently entering national and international festivals. He was also selected as one of eight participants in Screen Yorkshires high level bespoke training and development programme, Super 8. He is currently developing his first feature film.
