Suggstion: Technically, BTC News was the SECOND blog to get a White House correspondent and the FIRST to have a White House Correspondent actually ask a question of the President's spokesman. According to the article linked: "The second blogger allowed into the White House briefing room became the first blogger to actually ask press secretary Scott McClellan a question last week. "

I'm pretty sure this line has been amended to the point of falsehood: "A controversial re-design during Slate's days as a subscription-based service spawned The Mote, but was ultimately returned to a free service after readership of Slate and participation in the Fray dropped significantly."

I added the archived threads. Yes, they are archived versions of discussions on the site before the redesign. My apologies for not designating them clearly. There are other archives out there, btw.

== navigation ==

I'd like to see some mention of the mercenary navigation limitations on the fray site.  Specifically, the page rebuild (complete with new ad) necessary to view ...every...single...posting, rather then any mechanism to view the full content of all posts in a thread at once.
