''It has been suggested that the origins of the slur are in the slang word for semen, basically implying that the person in question is a "waste of sperm".''  It seems equally possible that the term arose independantly of this meaning in the Newfoundland context.  Can anyone source this or is this just somebody's personal speculation? Looks a bit like original research that I'd favor removing, unless someone has some experience with them being connected.  [[User:Nonpl(contracted; show full)nothing refering to the Newfoundland definition, which is a word almost everyone here knows.  I actually had quite a bit of trouble initially putting the words together that accurately described what a skeet is — it's not something that's really been addressed before; it's always been something you just kinda know and hear. :: I'm trying hard to help out with this article, because it seems a bit NPOV (if that's possible:P ).  I'm wondering whether or not the article should mention the specific brands of clothing that "skeets" wear.
