Xupiter was a now-defunct Internet company known for its Internet Explorer toolbar, also called Xupiter.

The Xupiter toolbar is listed as a browser hijacker by many spyware-removing programs. Once installed (at one time, simply browsing Xupiter.com with an insecure browser would install it), it is infamously difficult to remove. It has been known
to change the Internet Explorer homepage to Xupiter.com and redirect searches to Xupiter.com, among other complaints.

On June 9, 2006, Xupiter creator Daniel Yomtobian issued a cease and desist order in response to a chronicle of his business career posted on Webdefenders.net.
