The Xupiter toolbar is listed as a [[browser hijacker]] by many [[spyware]]-removing programs. Once installed (at one time, simply browsing Xupiter.com with an insecure browser would install it), it is infamously difficult to remove. It has been known to change the Internet Explorer homepage to Xupiter.com and redirect searches to Xupiter.com, among other complaints.
